Adventureland is gearing up for an exciting 2026 season, with a range of new attractions and enhancements. The beloved amusement park in Farmingdale is set to reopen on March 20th, introducing three new rides and two new games to thrill visitors. This marks the third year of a multi-phase redevelopment plan, with a focus on transforming the park's offerings. The original timeline aimed for completion by 2028, but officials are optimistic about finishing sooner.
One of the highlights is the introduction of Wave Twister, a non-water-based ride designed by Ride Engineers of Switzerland. It features a boomerang-shaped track, offering a unique sensation of riding on a wave. Despite its name, it's a thrilling yet family-friendly experience, with a height requirement that allows younger kids to enjoy it. Wave Twister won't be operational for the opening weekend but is expected to be available this spring.
Another new attraction is The Ram, a pirate ship-themed ride by Huss Park Attractions of Germany. This classic pirate ship has been reimagined with a fresh theme, drawing inspiration from SUNY Farmingdale's sports teams, The Rams. The Ram will appeal to a broader audience, as it has a lower height requirement compared to the Moon Chaser, which was previously removed from the park.
Adventureland is also expanding its gaming options with two new midway games. Wave Blaster involves shooting water at targets, while Jungle Run is a ball-rolling game where players move an animal across a board. Additionally, a new food stand, Legacy Bites, will offer bite-sized treats like jumbo pretzels and churros.
The park's traditional carousel is being replaced with a new double-decker carousel, designed by Bertazzon of Italy. It will feature a Venetian-inspired design and include a variety of animal rides, such as a tiger, lion, zebra, giraffe, and panda. This season promises an enhanced experience for visitors, with a focus on creating memorable moments.
Adventureland's admission prices for the 2026 season will be $51.50 (including fees) for ages 2 to 24, a $2 increase from the previous year. Tickets for ages 25 and older remain at $39.50. The park is open year-round, with extended hours during the summer and specific operating days during the spring and fall when schools are in session. Adventureland is committed to providing an exceptional experience for its guests, ensuring a memorable visit for all.
