A thrilling Celtic Challenge encounter saw Clovers edge out Brython Thunder by a narrow margin, 15-12, at Cardiff Arms Park. This hard-fought victory propelled the Irish side to third place in the league, but it was a tale of two halves and a game that had it all!

Clovers started with a bang, scoring two early tries through Emily Foley and Lucia Linn, which gave them a commanding 15-point lead. However, this was the high point of their game, as Thunder fought back valiantly.
Amy Williams sparked the Brython comeback with a try, and soon after the break, Gwen Crabb, on her return and first game as captain, scored a crucial try to bring them within touching distance.
Controversial Call?
But here's where it gets controversial. With the scores so close, and Thunder gaining momentum, why couldn't they secure the win? Was it a case of nerves, or did Clovers' defensive tactics pay off?
The second half saw a series of knocks and stoppages, which seemed to disrupt the flow of the game. Thunder dominated the early proceedings but couldn't quite convert their chances.
And this is the part most people miss: the importance of resilience. Despite being on the back foot for large parts of the game, Thunder's defensive resilience kept them in the contest.
