This isn't the first time Kuminga has been linked to the Pelicans. Back in June, reports from Marc Stein and Jake Fischer mentioned New Orleans' interest. And in July, Brandon Robinson suggested that Kevon Looney's arrival in New Orleans could grease the wheels for a deal.
But here's where it gets controversial... The Warriors can't officially trade Kuminga until January 15th, due to his recent contract signing. However, the groundwork for a potential deal seems to be laid out, with the Pelicans emerging as a prominent suitor. Fischer even reported that the Warriors have a strong affinity for Murphy.
If this trade were to happen, the Pelicans would become a haven for former Warriors players, including Kuminga, Jordan Poole, and Kevon Looney.
