Is the Samsung Galaxy Z TriFold as durable as it claims to be? A recent test by the YouTube channel OMG_electronics put the device to the test, and the results may surprise you. The channel's hosts unfolded and folded the TriFold over and over again until it 'broke,' which happened surprisingly early. The test revealed that the hinge started to creak after around 61,000 folds, and by 144,000 folds, the 'hinge elasticity' gave way, leaving the device in a state where it wouldn't stay fully opened without being forced into place. Despite this, the display was still working, making it hard to say that it 'broke.' However, given that the TriFold was being unfolded and folded for 8 days in a row, it honestly held up pretty well and, in real life, would probably easily hit Samsung's 200,000 fold test. The Galaxy Z TriFold is set to launch in the US in early 2026, and while it may not be as durable as Samsung claims, it's still an exciting new device that's worth keeping an eye on. So, what do you think? Is the Galaxy Z TriFold worth the hype? Let us know in the comments!
